March 2008 Associations Report

 

I. February Highlights:

OCVFA Monthly Meeting @ Fairmont on 2:20:

·        New budget presented and approved

·        Future treasurer’s reports will show gross income of fundraisers, the associated costs and the net income

·        Fund raiser at Old Country Buffet was a success EXCEPT the next day they declared bankruptcy and no one knows if the funds will ever be received.+

·        Nominations are sought for “Explorer /Jr./(RAM) of the year to be submitted by July 31.

·        Nominations are also sought for OCVFA Firemen’s Meritorious Awards

·        March 4 NYSAFC (chiefs) are presenting a seminar in North Syracuse

April 6th: The Northern Central April quarterly meeting will be held at the Himrod Firehouse. The legislative meeting will begin at 1 p.m. followed by the regular meeting at 2 p.m.

September 20: Testimonial Clambake for Mike Ryan FASNY Trustee and past president of the Firemen’s Home (1998-2008) Mike is from our county.
