Liverpool Fire Department Inc. is firematically a 100% volunteer organization.  LFD answers calls for Fire Suppression, General Rescue, Automobile Accidents, Emergency Medical Services, and Water Rescue.   Liverpool FD responds to about 2000 calls for service annually.  Our fire district includes:

·        A group of 100 Active, Dedicated, and well Trained Volunteer Professionals

·        Operating 3 Fire Stations

·        Covering 15 Square Miles

·        Responding to 1800 - 2000 alarms per year

·        Providing EMS, Fire suppression and prevention and Life safety service with:

·        4 Class A Engines

·        1 100’ Aerial Platform

·        1 Heavy Rescue

·        4 Light Rescues

·        2 Squad Trucks

·        1 22’ Larson water rescue with a 200gpm pump

·        1 10’ Avon with a 25 hp Mercury outboard

 

The district we protect is the Town of Salina fire protection district #4 which includes the Village of Liverpool.  The district is comprised of:

·        Mostly singled family residential dwellings

·        Apartments, townhouses, patio homes and condominiums

·        Several hotels and motels

·        Commercial businesses

·        Light industrial businesses

·        Rail line with 3 gated crossings

·        Interstate 90 toll road (east-west)

·        Interstate 81 freeway (north-south)

·        Flight pattern for Hancock International Airport

·        Onondaga Lake from the Syracuse city line to the Seneca River

·        The Seneca River from the Lake outlet to Elmcrest Road
