Just before 11am Tuesday Morning the Volunteers of Liverpool were alerted for a commercial lawn mower on fire in the Onondaga Lake Park by Willow Bay. A second call was placed to the 911 center saying the fire was now extending to the bathhouse. At this time 911 upgraded the alarm bringing in mutual aid companies. C3(DC. Manley) arrived confirming reports for heavy fire coming from a large 1 story bathhouse. Liverpool Engine 1(LT. D.Santoro) was first due. Engine 1s crew stretched a 200’ line and began an aggressive attack of the fire. Crews were met with heavy fire and high heat. Solvay E11 arrived second due, pulled a second line and backed up the first due. Companies also on scene that assisted were, MCFD T2 and E32, Lakeside L1, and Baldwinsville E7. Companies had the fire knocked within the first 10 minutes of arrival. The Onondaga County FIU is currently investigating along with Onondaga Count Parks.
