As the members were training during drill last night, North Syracuse FD was alerted for a garage fire on Chestnut St. The fire was quickly upgraded to a working fire with extension into the house. The 99 was bringing Truck 2 (Ambrose) to the station as the move up company but was quickly redirected to the scene. Car 2 (Ormsby) and the truck arrived, positioned in front of the house and the crew went right to work conducting searches and opening up. A addition hand line was stretched off of T2 to stop the extension. Units operated for an hour before being released and returning to service.
