Around 22:00 hours on Wednesday night, Liverpool was alerted to respond with the Moyers Corners FD to a reported fire in a multiple occupancy apartment on Candlelight Ln. The original call was for smoke coming from the basement and had Engine 1, Engine 3, and Engine 5 on the box.
MCFD B/C 2 arrived with smoke showing from the door of the building. MCFD Engine 21 arrived first due, splitting the lay from the road and took the first due engines responsibility stretching the first line. Engine 1 (D/C Laakso) arrived completing the lay from the hydrant and took the second due engine assignment stretching the back up line. Engine 5(LT. Warren) arrived shortly after setting up RIT in front of the building and laddered the building. A small fire was found down in the basement closet and was extinguished. Units were picked up and returned to service within 30 minutes.
