Small Fire in Kitchen Wall

On Tuesday Sept 5th, Liverpool was alerted for a smoke odor in an apartment at 850 Vine Street. Car 3(D/C Payne) arrived and found smoke in the apartment with a fire in the wall from an employee using solder on some pipes in the kitchen. Engine 1(D/C Laakso) arrived, taking the first due engine assignment, securing a water supply and stretching a dry line to the apartment. Truck 2 (Capt. Ambrose) arrived and assisted opening up and checking for extension. The fire was knocked down with an extinguisher and held to the voids in the wall. Engine 3 and Rescue 1 was also on scene and assisted with picking up. Units were back in service within 45 minutes.
