Late Wednesday evening, stations 2 & 1 were dispatched to a vehicle fire in the parking lot of Greenpoint. Car 4 (D/C Laakso) arrived confirming an active vehicle fire in the engine compartment extending into the passenger compartment. Engine 5 (FF Whalen) was first to arrive, stretched a hand line and started extinguishing the fire. Engine 1 (FF Copp) and Squad 2 (FF Covel) arrived shortly after, assisted in opening up the vehicle and doing overhaul. The fire was quickly knocked down and units were back in service within 30 minutes.
