Mutual Aid Fire In Lysander

Earlier this morning, Liverpool was alerted to respond with an engine to a working house fire in the Lysander Fire District. Car 4 (D/C Laakso) and Engine 1 (Lt. Warren) quickly went enroute. On arrival, Engine 1 was positioned in front of the house and went right to work using its aerial device as an elevated water way and a 3in Blitz fire. While on outside operations, the crew was being utilized to gain access to the second floor and to get parts of the roof open. After the fire was darken down, crews went inside to the second floor to open up hot spots and extinguish any left over fire. Do to the extensive damage, some hot spots were deep seated and extensive overhaul was needed to get the remaining fire. C4 and E1 was released and returned to service around noon.
