Just after 1730 on Saturday, Liverpool FD along with its mutual aid companies was dispatched to a possible fire on Pleasantview Ave. The caller reported smoke coming from the attic and walls by the fire place. Car 3 (D/C Laakso) arrived and confirmed smoke showing from the eaves on the original 360 and established operations. Car 2 (D/C Ormsby) arrived, established interior, confirming active fire in the walls and ceiling. Car 4 (D/C Manley) arrived, began command, and confirmed the working fire. Engine 2 (Capt. Ambrose) was the first arriving engine, bringing in a water source, and stretching the initial attack line along with hooks inside to the seat of the fire. interior crews began opening up and attacking the fire. Engine 1(FF Warren) and Rescue 1 (FF Peet) arrived along with MCFD E31 and NSFD E6, stretching a back up line, opening up, and checking for vertical fire spread. The fire was quickly knocked down and contained to the room of origin. Extensive overhaul was necessary to make sure there was no hot spots. The fire was placed under control as units broke down, mutual aid was released, and Onondaga County OEM started investigating the cause of the fire. Just prior to operations being complete, a second reported residential fire was dispatched just a few streets away...........
