This Memorial Day weekend has been a very busy few days. This past weekend alone the Liverpool Fire Dept has responded to 2 reported structure fires, and went mutual aid to the Moyers Corners Fire district on a coverage move up.

Starting Saturday May 26th at 1341hrs Liverpool was alerted to a reported residential fire on Thornwood Dr, in the station 2 response area. Car 4 (DC Manley) quickly marked enroute along with Car 3 (DC Laakso). Car 4 arrived to a 1 story ranch with nothing showing. Car 4 had a light smoke condition in the basement from a small fire, holding Liverpool Units only. Liverpool Engine 1 (FF. Albanese) was first due and started ventilation, while Engine 2 (LT. Lizzio) assisted on scene and secured utilities. Car 3 was in command of the incident. Units operated for 25 minutes before returning to service.

Sunday May 27th at 1935 hrs Liverpool was alerted for a reported structure fire, again the the station 2 response area on 7th North Street. Engine 1 (PC Loucks) marked enroute first followed by Engine 2 (FF. Kalin). Engine 2 arrived first and reported that it was a blown transformer, and that all mutual aid and companies could hold in quaters. The scene was turned over to National Grid.

Monday May 28th at 0014hrs Liverpool Truck 2 was requested as a coverage move up to the Moyers Corners Fire District while they were out on a 98 basement fire. Truck 2 stood by MCFD station 2 for roughly 45 minutes before being released back to our district.
