Just after 1130hrs Sunday March 24th, Liverpool was alerted to respond mutual aid to Moyers Corners for a reported apartment fire. Liverpool Truck 2(Capt. Warren) with a staffed truck of 5 quickly marked enroute on dispatch. Initial reports indicated a fire in a bedroom closet. Upon arrival MCFD Car 5 arrived with nothing showing. Moyers Corners Engine 21 and Liverpool Truck arrived within seconds of each other. Truck 2 assisted 21 with stretching and getting their line in place. Crews investigated and determined it was a light ballast that was overheating due to coming in contact with a blanket in a closet. Engine 3(Capt. Liguigli) arrived and staged on scene with other units. Command later held with 2 trucks and 1 engine. Units operated on scene for roughly 35 minutes before returning to service.
