Tuesday morning around 9am, Liverpool FD and mutual aid companies were dispatched to smoke coming from the residence on Buckley Rd & Exeter Ave. C3 (D/C Manley) & C5 (Capt Liguigli) went enroute and were advised from fire control that they were now getting multiple calls. Engine 2(Capt Warren) started responding as C5 arrived confirming he had smoke showing from the basement of a residence. E2 arrived, securing its own water source and stretched the initial attack line into the structure. Mutual aid companies began arriving and filling in assignments to help suppress the fire. Engine 5 (LT. Mahar) arrived and was tasked with conducting a search which results were negative findings. C3 was in command and transmitted the working fire "Signal 99" as conditions intensified while crews were trying to locate the basement stairs. The fire was located in the basement and was extinguished with the attack line. Extensive over haul and ventilation were required. No injuries were reported and the scene is under investigation by the Onondaga County OEM.
