On April 14th, 2017 at approximately 9:50a, Liverpool Fire Department was dispatched to a vehicle fire at the I90 & I81 interchange/toll booth. Car 2 (Ormsby) arrived to find a Tiller Fire Truck fully involved at the cab area with multiple exposures. Car 2 established command and immediately requested mutual aid units to respond due to the anticipated need for more water resources. Mattydale arrived and deployed a hand-line to begin extinguishing the fire on the Tiller and a second line worked to protect/extinguish the exposures (two Chevrolet Impala cars & the Thruway office building). Multiple other units arrived from Liverpool, Moyers Corners and Hinsdale to assist with fire suppression and overhaul. All fire units were cleared within two hours. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation with the Onondaga County FIU.

We would like to thank Moyers Corners Fire Department, Hinsdale Fire Department, Mattydale Fire Department, NYS Thruway Authority, New York State Police, NYS DEC, & the multiple towing/rigging agencies that were on scene to assists us.

**The Tiller Fire Truck was out of service and was formerly owned by the Kansas City Fire Department. The truck was being transported to Canada to be placed in service by another fire department.**
