On February 8th, Liverpool Fire Department was dispatched mutual aid to the Mattydale Fire District for a reported fire in a commercial building. Within minutes Car 2(Ormsby), Car 4(Laakso), and Engine 2(Cisne) responded. Car 2 arrived with heavy smoke showing, and assumed the interior operations Chief. The fire was upgraded to a signal 99 working fire. Car 4 and Engine 2 stretched the back up line but was repositioned to a side door on the bravo side once the fire was located. The hand line was advanced to the seat of the fire and the fire was knocked down. Units were released around 0600. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
